The Student Memorial Center (SMC, pronounced “Smack”) is the heart of campus life at Millersville University. The SMC offers a broad array of services including nine meeting rooms, dining facilities, the University Store, fitness center, a copy shop, and a banking center which provides student organization banking. There is also a credit union. The facility is a “second home” to many students who spend time there studying, attending one of the many programs offered, or just “hanging out” with friends.
SMC RenovationsBeginning in May 2009, the SMC will undergo a $30 million renovation/expansion that will offer students a state of the art facility with a large fitness center and three additional basketball courts. Club de ‘VilleThe Club de ‘Ville, located in the Student Memorial Center, provides billiard rentals, Nintendo Wii® rentals, and student programming throughout the week. Bands, movies, and various other activities are sponsored Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays by “Ville After Dark” for Millersville University students. Reserve a Meeting Room at the SMCSeven rooms at the SMC are available to students and faculty for meetings, tutoring and conferences. The rooms range in capacity between 10 and 400 people. The rooms are claimed on a first come first serve basis so reserve early. |
