The Student Memorial Center (SMC, pronounced “Smack”) is the heart of campus life at Millersville University. The facility is a second home to many students who spend time there studying, attending one of the many programs offered, or just hanging out with friends. The SMC offers a broad array of services including:

Room Details

  • Reighard Multi-purpose Room (MPR)

    For events that hold up to 400 patrons the Reighard Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) is available. The MPR can be set up to accommodate the needs of the organization.


  • Robert L. Slabinski Atrium

    Located within close proximity to the SMC Information Desk and the MPR is the Atrium lounge. There are many comfortable chairs to relax with a great view of campus.


  • Club DeVille

    Located on the ground floor is the Club DeVille. Mostly a commuter lounge during the day time hours but at night time you can find plenty of events taking place here.


  • Room 18

    Room 18 is one of 2 conferences rooms located on the ground floor of the SMC. The normal setup for room 18 is theater style seating for 72 people, however the room can be adjusted accordingly to suit your needs.


  • Room 24

    Room 24 is the 2nd conference room located on the SMC ground floor. Slightly larger than room 18, room 24 is setup for theater style seating for 100 people. Due to the size of room 24 SMC staff can perform multiple setups to suit your conference/meeting needs.


  • Room 118

    Other than the MPR, room 118 is the main conference/meeting room on the SMC 1st floor. Normally setup for theater seating for 70 with a large conference table at the head of the room, this room can be arranged multiple ways to suit your needs.


  • Room 202

    SMC Room 202 is the largest of three rooms on the 2nd floor of the SMC. Due to the rooms layout this meeting space is ideal for board meeting, presentations, etc. However, like all SMC rooms it may be arranged multiple ways to suit your needs.


  • Room 203

    Room 203 is the smallest room on the 2nd floor. This room is ideal for small meetings and conferences.


  • Room 204

    Like room 202, room 204 has a similar setup. The only main difference between room 202 and room 204 is the size, room 204 seats approximately 7 people less than room 202, however SMC staff will be more than happy to arrange the room to suit any needs you may have.


  • MPR Pre-Function Room

    Located adjacent to the MPR is the pre-function room. This room can function as a small lounge, dressing room or food servery. Reservations for the pre-function room are taken separately from the MPR. Please indicate when making a reservation for the MPR if you would like the pre-function lounge.



These rooms are reserved on a first come first serve basis. To reserve any of these rooms please contact the Information Desk at (717) 871-4636.  For audio/technical assistance please contact Technical Operations at least five (5) business days before your event.
